The Cognitive Science Department is located in MIT “Building E25”

 (all MIT buildings have numbers but not necessarily names, these are important to know if you get lost and need to ask someone)

 It’s street address is 45 Carleton Street in Cambridge, MA.

 The entrance to building E25 is a revolving door (there are also flat doors next to it.)

 The wheelchair accessible entrance is at the drop off area at the medical department which is in the connected building E23 which is closer to Amherst Street.

 The door may be locked after 5 pm and on weekends. For our events we will have someone there with a BrainTrust sign to let you in. If there is no one there, people come by frequently to use the entrance themselves. If they ask, tell them you have a meeting with the MIT BrainTrust in room E25-117 or 111.

 The conference/party room is just past the elevators on your right.  E25-117 is a class room and E25-111 is a lecture hall just next to it.

 How to get to MIT:

 From East/Boston: Cross the Longfellow bridge (aka salt and pepper bridge)

Continue on Broadway past the Marriott Hotel to an intersection with “Quantum Books” on the left corner and a new Hotel across from it. Take a left onto Ames Street. At the next intersection where Legal Seafood is on the corner to your left, take a left onto Main Street. Pass the MBTA station. Take your next right. This is Hayward Street, park in the lot there.

 From the West/Cambridge/Newton: Take Memorial Drive, go under the Mass Ave bridge, pass the Great Dome (where they put all the crazy stuff, police cars, cows, R2D2 etc.) There is an exit just before the Longfellow Bridge, it says “to Kendall Square.” Take a left at this exit onto Wadsworth Street. Take an immediate Left onto Amherst Street, then an immediate right onto Hayward Street, park in the lot there.

 From South/Boston: Cross the Mass Avenue Bridge continue on Mass Ave Past  the main entrance to MIT with big columns on your right. Take a right onto Vassar Street at the intersection at the end of that block. Vassar Street leads you to a 5 way intersection. Bear right onto Main Street. Pass Legal Seafoods on your left. Pass the MBTA station. Take your next right. This is Hayward Street, park in the lot there.

 Where to park:

The Hayward Street Lot, which is right off Main Street or a Left off Amherst Street is the closest to our location. It says “MIT medical parking only” but you should be ok after 5pm or on Sunday. Get out of your car and walk away from the entrance you came in. Cross Carlton Street to building E25.

 From the MBTA Red Line:

 Take the red line to MIT/Kendall Square. When you come above ground put the MBTA Station(s) at your back. (If you are coming from Harvard/Alewife you will need to cross Main Street to the Inbound side.) There is a little courtyard with trees and benches which borders Carlton Street. You can see the Cognitive Science Building in front of you to the right.
