of NORTH CENTRAL WASHINGTON came into being four and a half years

ago with a handful of people wanting to help other cancer survivors. They

knew first hand some of the physical, financial and psychological difficulties

that come with being diagnosed with cancer. Out of that desire to help, the

group established a non-profit organization, bought a house and made it into a

home-away-from-home for cancer patients who travel to Wenatchee, Washington

for their treatments. It is called "Our House."

With the tireless efforts of volunteers and faithful supporters, a variety of

services to help meet the needs of cancer patients in our community is

offered. We sponsor a support group, an audio cassette tape for the

terminally ill and their families called Going Home, a transportation

committee helping patients get to and from their treatments, a reference

library and a social services committee that helps with housing and financial

needs.

Our vision has been blessed and we look to the future in finding even more

ways to help cancer survivors live each day as fully as possible.
