Terrence Vijaiyan
July 31, 1953 - July 19, 2007
Terrence Vijaiyan, 53, passed away on
July 19, 2007 only 12 days shy of his 54th birthday.
He was diagnosed with a brain tumor nearly two years
ago.
Terrence, the younger son of Andrew (late) and Thelma
was born July 31, 1953 in Malaysia. He was raised
in Malaysia but he emigrated to the United States
and became an American citizen. Terrence married Kashmira
on March 19, 1994 and they have one son, Andrew.
Everything about Terrence was bigger than life. He
had so much presence, he took over a space as soon
as he entered. He was physically large, and was an
emotional giant. He loved his family, friends and
business; and especially loved a good whiskey. Terrence
worked hard and enjoyed the fruits of his labors.
He loved the finer things in life and insisted on
the best for his friends and family. He shared what
he had willingly and lovingly with those around him.
None of us will forget his booming voice that could
bellow out country music tunes; but could also croon
a soothing lullaby. He was a gentle giant whose favorite
role was "Dad". He taught his son to work
hard for what you want, play fair, be the best you
can be, and to love your life and family.
Terrence leaves behind his wife, son, mother, brother,
many nieces and nephews and innumerable friends and
relations.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial
contributions please be made in Terrence's memory
to T.H.E. Brain Trust, 186 Hampshire Street, Cambridge,
MA 02139 (online at www.braintrust.org/contribute).
This organization has provided immeasurable to our
family.
